Course Description:
Introduce the student to the role, duties, and responsibilities of the Tactical Dispatcher. Recognize how the Tactical Dispatcher plays an integral role during high risk operations. The student will develop the knowledge and basic skills necessary to work in the field command post in support of the tactical commander.
Training Objectives
· Compare and contrast the role of a Emergency dispatcher and Tactical Dispatcher
· Understand the specific terminology used by tactical teams
· Review the Incident Command System and where SWAT Operations fits in the ICS
· Review appropriate Documentation specific to Tactical Missions
· Understand the concept of the SWAT Team and how the Tactical Dispatcher fits into that team
· Understand how the Tactical Dispatcher supports the Tactical Commander
· Conduct role playing scenarios and table top exercises
