Night Vision Course (Session B / August 12/13)
This 16-hour course is designed to educate the night vision end user on how night vision works, is manufactured and utilized in the law enforcement field.
The first 4 hours of the course is a NVG 101 open to all law enforcement. The objectives are to educate the end user or agency that is looking to begin a program on how to evaluate specifications and capabilities of night vision for the agency. This is a four hour PowerPoint classroom atmosphere.
The following 12 hours is designed for end users that have night vision equipment. The topics will include functions, features and applications of night vision, multi-function aiming lasers, Identify friend foe (IFF) markers in a no light to low light environment. Included within that block is a four hour live-fire session on how to implement night vison capabilities with your forearms capabilities.
